On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (PPACA), which makes major changes to the healthcare system in the United States. Many of the changes will affect employers in significant ways.
